That is right.
It is one of those days.
Steam is sepping from my ears.
My eyes are bulging out of my head.
My hands are flying everywhere when I speak. (making typing a little difficult)
But you have all been there a time or two, right. RIGHT?!
Ok- so my emotions are out of control today. If there is something going wrong, or someone to make upset with me, APPARENTLY that is my job this week.
SO- TADA! (insert tongue sticking with raspberry sound included)
Why today of all days you might ask. Well, I HAVE NO CLUE!
And in spite of my temper and need to want to throw something, I see 2 men running today. And for a moment, I feel peace.
Then, I feel jealousy and anger. I mean look at them. Chatting and laughing while they sweat purfusly and release them daily anger in this peaceful act of running. I
Then, I feel sad. I was mad because 2 men took time out of their lives to enjoy the company of a friend while doing something that makes them feel good. What is wrong with me?! I could be them if I only MADE myself MAKE time. I am beyond words with myself... for that moment.
So I dropped my LittleMan at school and headed towards work, where I got to see the happy carefree men enjoying their morning. And I decided right then. I NEED MY RUNNING TIME. It is a daily necessity. Period. I MUST make time for that, or my stressors have no healthy outlet. I have signed up for the Easter Sun Run 10k this saturday. The Wichita Half next sunday. AND the hubby has decided to join me in the Kansas City Warrior Dash 5k. YES YES YES!!!!

blech...I know your pain. Hang in there mamacita! Very cool to Warrior Dash with your sweetheart.
I was guilted into going to run club even though I just wanted to nap on the couch..ended up not being tired and had lots of fun being around friends :)
I love surprises! The good kind anyway.
I had a snap out of it moment today when I wasn't going to go out on my lunch run because of something upsetting that had just happened, then I was like, yeah, screw THAT. Then I went for my run and felt awesome.
I find that having a running buddy helps "snap" out of it! Knowing that someone is there waiting for you really helps me! Plus I LOVE my running buddy, we are like sisters now:)

I always have snap out of it moments while watching the biggest loser. If they can go from weighing 275+ pounds to running a marathon in 4 months, I figure I can manage a sunday long run lol
I am always reminding myself to snap out of it...telling myself I am strong and push through this.

No griping till I run... and then I don't want to anymore.
Oooh this is EASY! My bf made me snap out of a diet funk I was in this week! I was discouraged b/c my weight fluctuates a few pounds DAILY - weird I know!! She said to me, "Kim, stop stressing...you are eating clean, exercising & doing what your body needs. It will come off!" She is awesome!

It's no surprise, music does it for me. The funny part is the Pandora station that pushes-out-the-funk. It's Kenny Chesney that lifts the blues! I rarely listen to country music, but love to get lost in this singers upbeat songs about the beach, life, celebrations and love. The songs tell stories, maybe this is what I like?! By the way, this is my little dark running secret. No one knows that I listen to Kenny Chesney! I love your blog.
My best friend Casey is always the positive one that is forever lifting me up when I'm down!

I had to "snap out of it" when I was running my first 10K this weekend in 80 degree weather and 90+ % humidity. There were people partying along the whole route (race was in New Orleans, duh!) stopping to drink and take jello shots.. I just wanted to quit and hang out! I had to say, "Snap out of it! You're a RUNNER!" And I finished!

I always have snap out of it moments when I realize how truly blessed I am and when I see others who have it worse then I do. I am always striving for more in life to make me happy, but I just need to be happy in this moment.

The last thing that got me motivated was entering a Virtual Marthon sponsored by Barefoot Neil Z at becauseallthecoolkidsaredoingit.blogspot.com
The thing that made me snap out of it recently was running with a new runner and mentoring her - made me get out of my funk and focus on my runs in the future!

Lately I have been struggling to find running time mixed in with the activities in which my children participate. I feel like I am always going to their activities and can not find consistant time to run. Last night I had decided I was too busy to run, but my friend called asking if I wanted to run, and I decided it was time to get off my bum and do it! I had just eaten way too much homemade pizza and my run was spent mostly battling to keep it down...but it got me out the door! Which was what I really needed!
I found you from a link over at Daily Vitamin F
The thing that has really snapped me out of the depths has been my friends. Often when I feel that I'm not getting anywhere in my training and I should just give it up, someone tells me how inspired they've been by my and how they've started running because of my example. That just makes it worth it.
I'm a brand new follower!
