It's a bird! It's a Plane! It's Super LittleMan!

Yes! Here he comes to safe the day! SUPER LittleMan!
**Find awesome costume for sale HERE
I have been looking for a jogging stroller so I can get back to running. Since there is NO TIME to run during daylight anymore. The hubby leaves for work at 4am and I get home at sunset from Coaching. Between the hours of 4am and 530-6pm, I am at home with LittleMan. And without a jogging stroller, no running can commence. So after much looking, one came up this week, it is an hour drive but she is willing to take $50! YEPPIE!!!
InStep 5k! YEAH BABY!!
So, This blog may turn into a "26.2 B4 30!"
I have the perfect book to help along the way...

The Never-ending Story

Running? What is that?
The weather can't decide if it is a wicked winter or the beginning of spring.
So, running outside is not happening much.
Then since the weather is wacky, the health in my house is wacky.
My poor LittleMan has spent more time this year sick than healthy. Today, I am sitting on the couch awaiting the results for him to either have Strep throat, Influenza or BOTH.

Then there is my BigGirl would is my little busy bee. She goes to Awana at church once a week. But this week, she goes twice because she is going to compete in a competition on saturday. AND indoor soccer started this week, and it happens to be the SAME night at Awana. So 25 minutes at soccer practice and a race to church for Awana. But will I take away anything from her growth? NO WAY!

I start my High School softball season on MONDAY. Which means I am a crazy ass wacky mom for 90 days. And my sanity will be border lined as well.

The hubby is 88 days from GRADUATION!!!!! He is AWESOME!!! He started his 2, YES TWO, Internships this week. (ROCK OUT HUBBY!!!)

So, thanks to my dad (retired Popa) and BigGirls BFF's parents... my kids are covered for being picked up and cared for until either hubby or myself is home. I actually have calendars set up for them for make it easier (and keep my mind at ease that they aren't missed or forgotten)

So- Sanity- my neverending story. Family illnesses- also my neverending story. But HOPE- I am trying to keep HOPE to the future. I am proud of my hubby. And I am proud of my kids. They keep ME HAPPY.

But, running, I am missing my running, and I having races on the mind. So running, next week, I will be adding you to my INSANITY!

Condolences

Today is a sad day.
A day that dreams are shattered. (at least my dreams)
A day that the average runner is pushed down on the asphalt.
A day that I will HATE the rest of my mobile life.

"FEBRUARY 16th, 2011: I HATE YOU!"

Yes sir bob- B.O.S.T.O.N.

I will never run your race. I will forever find it untouchable.

Not only is qualifying not in my reach, but now you are making it 5 minutes harder to do so.

Not only will I never get to register if I ever did qualify, I better beat that extra 5 minutes with 20 minutes faster so guarantee a registry.

Yes my runner friends.

A sad SAD day for us average folk.

SO- whats your thoughts?

**btw- exciting news coming by the end of the week. Stay Tuned!!

Sometimes happy feeling come from the most odd places...

Quick back store: For those that don't know, I am a Pharmacy Technician (currently- I have a Business Degree but this economy doesn't let everyone keep their actual JOB)

So- today I was at work, and a patient came into work and for what? Not their medication. It was to talk to ME about running and races. He is a 60+ year old man, that has recently dropped around 100lbs. And he has also become a VERY nice man, unlike the horrible angry man he was before. Last time he was in to get his medications, he was sporting a new local 5K long sleeve shirt. I commented on it and asked if he had walked/jogged it. His answer, "yes!" and he really enjoyed it. I told him about other races and when they were coming up. He wasn't interested at the time, and so passed on my info.

But TODAY- he came in just to talk to ME about races. I gave him the local running club website (because he is actually an internet savy older man, and he was happy to get any info I may come across from time to time. It made me feel needed, running savy (LOL!!!-snort-LOL!!) and I have never had anything make me feel so awesome in a while.

So, I am back to another fun fact. I have a couple girls from my High school days that have been asking my advice and information on running and races this past few months. The first girl still asks me questions from time to time. Like what shoes, gear, running stores, etc. But her first half was going to be this past October with me, after paying for the race, she bailed on training and the race.

The second girl is doing well, she asks me advice on staying motivated and what to do thru the winter, etc. She has signed up for her first half marathon in May already, and is planning on seeing me there. I fully believe that she can and will do this for herself.

Where am I going with this? Well, all this makes me feel like a support leader. Someone that is helping others help themselves. And why is this so intriguing to me? Because I can give you the right answers, but I am hard at following through them myself!  I can fill you quota for answers to any questions- and all great complete answers, but I rarely follow them myself. I try to tell myself that having the knowledge base is key to helping anyone. And the knowledge base tells me that ALL INDIVIDUALS WORK DIFFERENTLY. Including myself.

Ex. Question: It is so cold in the winter, how do I stay motivated to keep running, and when the treadmill is boring?

Answers: You can load up on ColdGear wear and keep pushing outside, maybe get a running partner to MAKE you get outside first. OR you can move the treadmill in front of the TV and run during a favorite show or movie, load audio books on your ipod that you have been dying to read, put the treadmill in front of a window that gives you the outdoor scenes or a busy street or your kids playing outside.

Ok- so out of all those answers, what do I do??
1. I have all the ColdGear- thats doesn't get used.
2. I have the treadmill in front of the TV, but I can't make it past 30 minutes myself.
3. I don't own an ipod to load books too (maye that my problem- hummmm)

Do you see where this is going? So know I ask you, is giving advice to others about running a bad thing or is my knowledge from thousands of books, magazines, and blogs too great a talent to waste??

My next venture to get thru the winter starts tomorrow...... KICKBOXING AT 6am!!

HAPPY 1 YEAR RACING ANNIVERSARY TO ME!

Ok-
this is going to be short and sweet.

Happy anniversary to me
Happy anniversary to me
Happy 1 yr racing anniversary to meeeeeee
Happy anniversary to me!

I celebrated my anniversary with my hubby, in Tulsa OKLAHOMA.
I ran the Route 66 Half marathon............the end.

ok- so maybe not the end, but my performance was THAT AWFUL TERRIBLE SAD DEPRESSING (you get the picture) that I was mad sad depressed..... anyway.

But I have one thing to say in my defense...... 1 mile straight up .25 miles into the race. (totally understand now right)

And to end my 1 year, another young man died. It happened in Dallas in March, and now Tulsa. This young man was 27 years old! Only a year younger than me!! So- when I passed this guy at mile 10 getting massive CPR- I had to push back my tired, hurting body from crying crying crying! God sure has interesting times picked out for some people, and it is so sad that a family has to go through that.

So you can imagine what happened when we got home from Tulsa-- my mom FREAKED OUT! And she has demanded that I get a complete checkup (including heart check) since many problems run in the family.

Anyway- my time was sad, the death of a young man as sad, my race photos were scarey sad (I will not be posting ANY OF THEM- so dont even ask)

But I will say this. I got to meet Allie! A favorite blogger buddy and her hubby and kiddos. I must say- for the length of time that we (including my sis in law and her hubby) were all eating dinner and talking talking talking, her kids were AWESOME! And were at the lengths of quietly falling asleep at the table. Unfortunately for Allie- we started running together from the beginning, her long legs pulled her away from me at the hill. And I slowly watched her leave my view. But at mile 5, I caught up to her and her injured ankle was losing her battle. And I heard at the end, that at mile 6, she got to catch a ride in a police car. SAD day for Allie too. But maybe Germany will bring something new (since that is where they are moving too.

So 1 year down- 6 half marathons completed- and 4 states marked off the map!! What next?? I am working on that!!

Stay tuned for the continuing journeys of Flat BigGirl and the Motherhood of the Traveling book.....

Memorial Day Things

I promise to get a big post on here soon with my State Softball Info.... but right now,  a little Memorial Day Info.

I spent my Memorial Day relaxing with Walking Pneumonia at home with movies. (Dear John, True Blood Season 1 & 2) But today I read, randomthotschick's blog and there was something there I liked.

Somewhere in Iraq, the soldier's spent Memorial Day morning running a 10K...

...it was about 104 degrees too. But look at them go!! They are all runners/athletes/mothers/fathers/sisters/brothers/uncles/aunts/friends/coworkers and they still have the heart to show their spirit in 104 degrees!!! (Three Cheers for all our military!!!)

SO I HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYED THEIR MEMORIAL DAY FESTIVITIES!!

A second thing I liked from randomthotschick's blog was this....
...the metal given this September at the Virginia Beach Rock N Roll Half Marathon!!! I am now praying for a winning lottery ticket, miracle from god, the financial means to go to this run in September!! Because, lets be honest here, wouldn't you want that hanging on YOUR wall?!?!?!!!!

**You may have noticed my lack in activity this past few days.... let me remind you that you just read about my walking pneumonia. So, does the "walking" part count? LOL! I will get back on the horse very soon. I mean, MotherRunner (my sis in law) just challenged me to the 100 miles in June Just Do IT! So that is a challenge, and I don't back down from those!!!

Monday

My workout consisted of running 2 miles on the bike bath after softball practice. It was hot, humid, windy, not fun. But hey, I got it done.

A gracious gift

So NORMALLY, I would not talk about money. But today, I can't let this not be told. For those of you that do not know, husband was laid off from his job a year ago last March. After months of trying to find a job and fighting with unemployment, he went back to school this last January. He is about done with his 1st semester and doing well. (2 thumbs up to my hubby!!)

So, I am working 2 jobs again this spring, my regular and coaching highschool softball. So, as you can guess, money has been tight for over a year.

Well, my cousin is getting married this end of July, and in Chicago (where they live)!! I SOOOO wanted to go. But money being an issue, we were set with not going. WELL-- my gma came to me a few weeks back and asked if they could help us attend the wedding. (Can I mention that I HATE asking for help in the $$$ department) So, they bought us all tickets to take the Train from here to Chicago, and secured hotel stay for the wedding. Well, I was looking for a run in Chicago, just for the fun of it. And found out that the ROck N Roll is that Sunday morning. So, now, our train doesnt leave for home until Sunday at 3pm!! So I can RUN!!! AND to top that off, the hotel we were staying in for the wedding is 30 minutes drive from run. WELL- last night gma secured us a room at a hotel the night before the race the is 2-3 blocks from START/FINISH LINE!!!! WHOOT WHOOT!!!!!!

So now, we get to go to Chicago for cousins wedding (btw- never been before) AND I get to run in another 1/2 marathon in another state this year!!! AND I CAN WALK MYSELF TO THE START AND NOT WAKEUP THE KIDDOS!!!!!!

A gracious gift that is so happily recieved.

Oklahoma City Memorial Half Marathon

Well, OKC was great. (But let me tell you a little secret, Oklahoma is NOT flat. I repeat, NOT FLAT!)

So, Saturday morning, right before we were to leave. LittleMan decided to be a " BIG BOY". He asked to go to the potty, and took a dump and a wizz!! WHOOT WHOOT for LittleMan!! (Mommy then turns around, looks at Daddy and says "SHIT! This is going to be a LONG 3 hr trip and weekend dealing with this."
So, off we went, meeting MotherRunner, FatherRunner, LittleFoot, BigFoot, FastRunnerFriend and her family, and MotherRunners "extra help" friend at their house to caravan to OKC. Thanks to a stop in Perry, OK and movies, the kids did great on the ride.
*Yes, Cason made another dump and wiz in Perry.*

When we got to OKC, it was BUSY CRAZY INSANE!!! Their was a Thunder Basketball playoffs game, a New Art Park Opening, and the Expo. All in the same 2 blocks downtown!!! WTH?!?!?!
We did however finally pay for parking, get in the EXPO and get our stuff. I also purchased a New http://www.onemoremilerunning.com/ tech shirt  "13.1 miles, been there, run that" and a new sticker from them too "My sport is your sports punishment" LOL!! I thought my softball girls would like that one!!
We did get to the OKC Memorial before sun down. It was amazing. Speechless is all you can say. It was very moving and I can see how being here is emotional (more on this farther down)
The daddy took pics from his phone, Thank goodness, b/c mommy left the camera in the car. Blocks away.
That is mommy, BigSis and LittleMan.
This is what I wore, add in the 2 GUs the water bottle and ,my number ofcourse.

Here is the medal, my new tech and sticker I bought. We got a plain tee for running, not my favorite, but nice.
Here I am, running, running, running. Here is how it went:

Start: It took 10 mins for me to cross the start line. LOTS OF PARTICIPATES! LOTS OF EARLY MORNING CROWDS CHEERING!!

Mile 1: Duck and Weave, Duck and Weave

Mile 2-3: Somewhere in here, there is a STEEP ram!! I mean, I turned the corner and said OUTLOAD "SHIT!" I climbed that ram, and thought "that was the worst"

Mile 4-6: WRONG!! More hills, I am starting to notice a trend here. Straightaway, a few turns, then a hills. REPEAT times 20. Throw in the Oklahoma State Captial (nice), a LOT of crowd support and Gorilla HILL!! (aka large blow up gorilla in housing area, with people dressed up as bananas under him. LOL!! Apply signage that said something like "Aint this a BITCH!?"

Mile 7-9: This is ROUGH!! I am feeling like I am dying at this point. Thankful for the "Luau water stop" Yes there was water, powerade, fruit, Gu, wet spounges, pretzels, crackers, and dancing.

Mile 10: huh, I am having a hard time breathing. My chest is a little tight. Oh well, just keep pushing, Almost done. HEY! There goes the lead of the full marathon!!

Mile 11: There have been some much water stops on this run, I am logged!

Mile 12-13: WHAT IS THIS LAST HILL!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!

Mile 13-13.1: I see the finish, The crowd is INSANE!!, I start targeting people, passing, passing, passing, there is one in shape young guy ahead, I WILL PASS HIM!! I speed thru the gap, pass him at the last 2 paces and come in at  2:47:08!! A personal best and a 4 min 40 sec cut!!!

Finish - 8 paces after: Slow down, try to high five, cant lift arm, cant breathe, what is this loud wheezing?! Had to stop, slumped over, 2 volunteers trying to talk to me. I keep hitting chest and wheezing, dont you hear this?!!! They tell me I need to go to med ten, and I have to get in wheelchair (what!?? NO WAY) I can walk, (thinking daddy and kids are watching this all) They force me in chair and wheel me away. I get to Med Tent and try to refuse treatment. NO GOOD, nurse is a stickler. (Panic, Daddy will be tearing down tent and fight off security to get to me-- none of this happens) Get checked out, giving albuterol treatment, pretzels, and powerade.
FINALLY I CAN LEAVE (t-minus 20 mins later) I get to food and drinks after tent. WOW-- if only my body wasnt shutting down. I would have eatten it all 20 mins ago!!! I collect all I can for kids. Find them and rest of family awaiting me. THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED!! The crowd was too thick to try and get to watch me finish! (Initial thought: THANK YOU!! I didn't want to deal with panicing husband---- Thought later that night: WTH!! Why did I bring my little family if no one say me run!!!!!!?)

Well, I have seen my MD and we have a plan set for my August Rock n Roll in Chicago. I am good to go. And I will be demanding my hubby to see me finish!!! And my new goal is 5 mins cut!!!!!!! (2:42:08)

OKC RUN!!! PHOTOS!!

Just me in okc! I AM THE PINK TEMPOS AND BLACK LONG SLEEVE!

Small Step Forward

Ok, I took initative, and my house is clean.
Dishes- Check
Laundry- Check
Bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen- Check
Basement- Check
Organizing- Check
Mowing- Check (hubby)

The dishwasher is due to be fixed this week (pray from rain so Grandfather can get out of the field to do that)

MIA Friends- starting to get back on track.

After all was done, I went to the hospital to see Jeff. The kids were at the farm, and Cody was heading to his mom's to take care of the animals. No one was at the hospital when I got there, so it was nice to have a whole hour to sit and talk to him alone. Ofcourse he is still unconcious, but this fluttering eye lids, snoring, swallowing, moving mouth, moving legs, moving toes, squeezing hands, moving arms all made it so intense. You just didn't want to take you eyes off him, just incase he opened his eyes.

He had surgery on his leg wound this morning and we are awaiting a move to Georgia in the near future. (Keep crossing your fingers on that one for us.)

So, for now, I am feeling a little better. I feel like I accomplished something. But where one thing goes right, I have another go wrong.

(Oh softball girls, y don't u just keep kicking me while I am down. Ugh.)

Running is still on my brain, and all I want to do is RUN! I am looking out my work window right now and wishing that I was out running right now. I can picture the route I would take and the relief it would be to getting going. OKC is a week from sunday. I am just hoping to match my time from Dallas RNR right now.

Beyond anything.....

I am lost.
Tired.
Confused.
Withdrawen.
Sad.
Dissapointed in myself.
Looking for something that isn't there.
Needing a miracle.
Needing a fairy god mother.
Needing to RUN!
RUN AND RUN AND RUN AND RUN AND RUN..........

But I don't have the drive, or the help. When I want to go run, I can't. Either I have no one to watch the kids, or I am in the middle or something else. (job #1, Job #2, laundry, hospital, EVERYTHING.)

I am upset for Jeff. I shove back all the pain and emotions for 5 days. Then, the weekend hits and we go see him. So, it starts to run over, so I stiffle it some more. I don't want my kids to see me like this. They are not handling it well. My husband is doing the same. Only, instead of work, he has school. (Same thing) And he takes care of the farm, the animals, building things for animals,......... We can't sleep well, we can't talk well (someone always snaps at the other) Our kids are a mess, trying to deal with us and understand everything.

LIFE JUST SUCKS.

I can't cook, can't clean, can't play outside, can't run. Can't.

OKC is a week from Sunday. I don't see myself meeting my goal. I hope to match the last run. I hope to finish. I hope to pull the last bit of any "fun" I can from my body and enjoy my family. And my sis-in-laws family.

I feel like softball isn't even much of a "safe zone". I can feel my really emotions doing that too.

God, help me find some reflection of myself somewhere. And soon.

A good start (but not necessarily smooth)

Our first games were on Tuesday. A Tri against Derby and Northwest. My JV girls did a great job! We beat Derby 13-7 and lost to NW 10-0. But they all worked hard and tried their best.

So then NOT SO SMOOTH part, 10 minutes before our 2nd game, one of my girls was playing catch to warm up, lost the ball in the sun and her nose took the hit. Yes- it is broken, luckily it was a clear break and will heal on it own without a split in a few days. (Whew)

So, to recap, game day #1, = 1 win, 1 lose, one coach picked a heated arguement with an umpire (not me btw), and 1 girl broke a bone. Well, it was a memorable one anyway. :)

So, tonight, we have one 2nd games, a double header in Salina. Wish us luck.

fyi-- Running this week, not a lot of LONG runs, but atleast short ones, (great weather-minus the wind) and a lot of cardio and core workouts with the girls. **Yes, this Coach does jump into the mix a lot.
SO- OKC in 3 weeks!! Bring it on!!

Wish list = 2:31:46 (20 mins cut), 25 more pairs of Nike Tempos (a multitude of colors), a magic pair of "blister proof" socks, and a RoadID.

Vent some steam

So, what first....

Mother Nature!  SisterRunner/Coach Horton is NOT happy about this weather you have decided to dish out. SisterRunner (aka myself- for those of you that read my sis-n-laws blog) is getting frustrated with your teasing. Inside running weather, Outside running weather, 70 degress, SNOW, 70 degrees, RAIN! AWHAWHAWHAWH!!!! Coach Horton (aka myself- for those USD 373 people out there) is sick and tired of being stuck inside for a combined total so far of 7 days! That is out of 16 total days we have had of practice so far!! Our first game is TUESDAY!!! My girls aren't ready!! We need outside time to really work it all out!! HELPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!

People I know (left for interpretation??)!  Listen to me. Don't yell at me, or contradict me, or talk down to me, or whatever else you know you are doing! I am a responsible, trustworthy, knowledgable adult. Please treat me like an equal, when you know I am one! I have a voice, I have suggestions, I have an opinion, you need to LISTEN to me. If you dont agree, that is something we can work on AFTER you have heard me. And in an approriate venue.

SisterRunner/Coach Horton (aka myself)!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! I WORK YOU HARD! I WORK YOU LONG! I FEED YOU RIGHT! (minus the optional treat so often) AND WHAT DO YOU DO FOR ME? NOTHING!!! I HAVE A REUNION IN OCTOBER!! I NEED YOU IN TIP TOP (MINUS 50+ LBS) SHAPE!!! COME ON AND SHOW ME THE LOVE!!!!!

ROCKIN' IN DALLAS!!!!

The "me" I want to be after finishing my 2nd 1/2 marathon (Dallas Rock N Roll) coming in at 2:51:49. (cutting 32 minutes from 1st try)

This is what the Future Bad Mother Runner Wore. (forgot to add the 2 Gu's)
This was the sight 20ish miles south of Norman Oklahoma. 14 miles of this taking us 1 hour to deal with and some major freak outs and a couple phone calls to make sure we would NOT be missing out on our packet pick ups.
This is my niece, who had a great trip tagging along. (NOTICE THE SUN!!!)
Thanks to my brother in law that was our "hotel de Troy". (awhh, I totally hit gold with these sibs-in-laws!)
This is the sight from the sunroof of Kim's car with 20 mins or less until the "so called" last bus from the finish line to the start line. (can we say.....shit. so much for getting around early)
These are my travel buddies (because we all know that I will not be running anywhere near them) happy to be on the shuttle bus and heading to the start line. (there are 20 mins to start now)
START LINE!! Ohh how you are 30 minutes away from my corral and under 10 minutes from my travel buddies. (maybe if we look really close, you will see them..... hummmm, nope)
Here is what I did see......... LOL!

We are moving forward....
Hey, i had a few great gals around me... thanks!!!
Somewhere around mile 9 (i had a goofy bust at this time)
Last mile!! Just keep running, just keep running, just keep running, well come one.... MOVE!!
ROCK OUT DALLAS!! I FINISHED!! (then proceeded to have a little wheezing attack-thats new-, slowly made my way to my metal, my picture, my water, energy drink, banana, energy bar, brownie (yucky, spit it out), bagel, oranges(so excited to shove in mouth that I dropped the first one), pull cell out of butt crack pocket, call shana- heard very loud male yell "KIRSTEN!!!", look up to see brother in law waving to me. Nod back (because we know that is all I am possibly able to do) keep walking down exit, keep walking, keep walking, text in laws that i am going keep walking to get packet with sandals and extra teeshirt. Call cody, well, you get this idea.

So, I did great, I am tired, I already having thoughts of how to get better for April OKC marathon.

So run on friends!!

What! Where! Who! Huh?! Left? Right? WHAT?

Ok, life has been INSANE!
(example above-- mommy's theory, little man is to crawl through tunnel.
Cason's theory, "look mommy, i can do that too. HI!!")

Softball started, missed mom2mom this week (totally blow my mind, mainly since I didn't have "pick her Shana" in the back of my mind), Dallas run is a week from sunday (still dont feel ready- but will be bucking it up anyway), Cody is doing great in school, kids are funnier than ever. I just feel like breathing is by "Option only" right now.

New beginnings

Well, tomorrow is Cody's big day! BACK TO SCHOOL HE GOES! I am really happy that he is finding a place for himself again. He seems excited to get going too.

Madison is really enjoying her new schedule. And seems to be adusting well.

Cason is still growing like a weed. And he is SO A BOY. Everywhere we go, he is always noticing "truck" "truck" "truck".

I am gearing up for softball season starting March 1st. As well as I am training for another 1/2 marathon. I am officially registered for the OKC Memorial 1/2 in April. And I am working on registration for the Rock N Roll 1/2 for Susan B Komen in Dallas in March. We will see. If I do the March one, I AM TOTALLY going to buy a few items from www.onemoremilerunning.com !!!

Tuesday, December 1, 2009

just keep going...

Ok, Thanksgiving pre-weekend.
My cousin Julie and I went to KC for a day, and did our first 1/2 marathon. I didn't do my best, but after the first mile or so, julie died, and I didnt want to leave her behind. Thus-- I made her speed walk with me. (I did pull away from her in the last couple miles though.) I came in at 3:23:16. Not bad, but I KNOW I could have done atleast a half hour better. So, in April, I am doing a half marathon in OKC with my bestie(thanks for the word Shana) Liz and maybe by sis-in-law and her hubby. WHOTWHOT!

Thanksgiving was "interesting" as usual. Always so much happening. One good thing from the weekend, my cousin Brandi is engaged. WHOTWHOT!

Sorry no pics to share this time!!

"If found on ground, please drag across finish line"

If the title doesn't explain, then let me clarify. I am OFFICIALLY registered for the 2009 Kansas City Gobbler Grind 1/2 Marathon!! OMG!! WHAT AM I THINKING?!

Ok- I am thinking that my cousin, Julie, wants a partner to join her on this run.
Also- I am thinking that I want to do more than a 10K before the year is out.
Finally- I can so do this!!

Back to reality---
First- I can so NOT do this!!
Second- What was I thinking?!
Third- Why didn't I get more training in?!

Ok, I do want to be in GREAT SHAPE for the 10 year class reunion this coming year. AND I DO want to be the type of mom that can wear this shirt "One Bad Mother Runner"
(COUGH COUGH...Shana... my fav sis-in-law) AND my softball girls are going to be needing me to be in tip-top shape to kick their young teenage tushes into gear!

But I am still lacking motivation somehow.

AWH!!!! I need a FREE personal trainer to kick my ass into gear. Someone to yell at me, and get me going!
